×When setting up a feature in JIRA for SAFE projects I always ask what is the best way.
Some companies use the EPIC functionality as FEATURE so that they do not have to manually watch the number of Stories required for completion.
Other companies use a new issue type FEATURE and manually assign and watch the number of stories for completion.
My question is which is the best way to use JIRA for Features in a SAFE way of working in Agile. If we are using INITIATIVES as the high level Idea?
Hi @El PR,
If I understand correctly, you would like to know how could you create a hierarchy for Initiatives in Jira, so that you know the issues that belong under that initiative. Is that correct?
For this you may use an addon like Jira Portfolio that allows for specifying an linking additional Hierarchy levels that what is available by default in Jira Software: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212136/portfolio-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview.
You may also want to review the white paper on SAFE, which gives an overview on this at: :https://www.atlassian.com/blog/agile/scaled-agile-atlassian-safe
