Filter shows subtasks but board doesn't

I have a filter that finds stories and their subtasks (complex project for out TV studio) and while subtasks show in the query, they don't show in the board. This is very frustrating and creating a delay in the teams daily management of tasks.

This is a JSD project as requests can be made by outside employees.

I have images but it doesn't look like I can post them here.

There should be a camera icon for attaching pictures in your editor here.

If subtasks are not showing on the board, it's probably the configuration of the board.  What type of board is it?

Kanban and it's by filter.

What status are the sub-tasks in?

They're active or resolved within 7 days, per the filter.

In the attached images, the items listed in the filter directly correlate to the board. I wanted to get a snapshot of what the filter sees compared to what the board sees. I have all statuses in the board columns, however, they show an exclamation mark due to my below workaround.

Workaround: when I remove the part of the filter that specifies the project, I get a ton of other statuses to choose from for the board columns. This allows me to find the subtask statuses and include them in the columns. I then go back to the filter and add the project name back to omit the issues with the shared status of another project.

It's kind of a messy workaround but that seems to be the only way of getting the subtasks into the board while omitting those shared issuetypes/statuses from other projects.
