Hide the Assignee of a Task from certain user groups

We would like to implement Jira for our Agile Software Team.

The Project Manager will also get access to the application and should be able to see progress in the Project.

But he should not be seeing who is working on which task.

I tried security levels but when i restrict him to see only epics he wont see any continouse progress.

Is there a plugin that can help with this issue or a could script behavior help ?

I have found a old improvement for jira ticket in which they tell that it wont be implemented by jira it self.

I would highly appreciate any help, thanks in advance !

JIRA by itself doesn´t provide any possibility to hide anything on field level.

Take a look at the "Field Security Plugin for Jira". You´ll find it via the following link:
