Highlight issues based on selected values

Hi Team, Can we filter out issues ime epics based on waves(this is a custom field and I have wave 1 wave 2 wave 3 wave 4). If I select wave 1 the issues present in wave 1 should be highlighted in red if wave 2 issues in that should be highlighted with other color. Can this be possible?

Hi @Aravind Koushik Gobburu

if I understand you correctly, you want to color your issues based on certain conditions. In native Jira, this is possible on board views - see e.g. this article for reference (I believe the article is for Jira Cloud but it should work similarly for Jira Server/DC).

In other views, I don't think that this is possible out-of-the-box - however if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you'll find options there.

E.g., depending on your exact requirements, your use case should be easy to solve in the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.

Is this roughly what you have in mind?

For context, JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), or sum-ups - as well as conditional formatting

In conditional formatting, you can define conditions on your issue fields (like "wave = wave 1"), and if a condition is fulfilled, highlight either the entire issue row, or selected cells, in a configurable color.

Any questions just let me know,

Best,

Hannes
