How can I Backup the uploaded files?

Sadek Joma'a

I am testing the Documents plug-in for Jira, and I have a question about back-up:

How can I take a backup of the files and folders I upload the documents folder? Suppose I had to re-install Jira, how can I restore my previous files ? Does it work like regular attachments backup ? I mean if I copy the data folder and paste it in the new installation, would the plug-in recognize the files ?

Best regards,

Sadek

The data of the Documents add-on consists in database tables + files on disk.

The tables are stored in the JIRA database and the files are stored in a subfolder “documentsaddon” of the JIRA’s attachments folder.

So the usual backup operations that you perform for JIRA will cover the Documents backup.
