How can I view the issue burndown for a non-greenhopper project in a JIRA dashboard gadget?

This seems simple, but it's not apparent to me how to do it.

I have a filter that draws from a few JIRA proejcts, none of them set up as Greenhopper projects. I would like to see a straightforward graph of how many issues are in this filter vs. time. Bonus for a trendline.

The Agile dashboard gadget appears to do this, but doesn't seem to work unless the project is enabled as a Greenhopper project. Is there a different gadget out there that I can use for this purpose?
