How can issue estimate be reflected in imported portfolio?

Hua Ji October 21, 2015

We have a lot of Epics/Stories which have estimates in JIRA core. When I try to import them in Portfolio plan I expect such estimates will be reflected in plan. But after the import their estimate fields are still blank.

Hi - upon import the estimates on the issues should be preserved and taken into Portfolio. Do do see them showing up in the import dialog in the estimate column still (before confirming the import)? If no, a potential reason might be a mismatch in the units - if the plan is in story points, only estimates on the story point field will be taken in, if it is in days or hours, only time estimates are considered. you can double check the scheduling unit in Plan>Configure>Scheduling Settings.

If none of this explains it, please raise a support ticket to investigate further. Thanks!
