When we were setting up our permissions model we made quite a few changes to group and the allocation of those groups to specific projects.
Along the way, we deleted some groups that we no longer needed with the idea that we would tidy up the allocation of these groups in the projects "as and when we see them", as there is no easy way to see what group is allocated to which projects.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, we quickly realised that the groups that been deleted in the User Administration, that were still allocated to individual projects, produce an error when trieed to be removed from the projects.
We even tried to recreate the groups exactly in the hope that this would enable the deletion from the project first, but alas this is not the case.
Has anyone else come across this situation and found a resolution?
Thanks Gabriel Senna, I have heard of this workaround before in other areas but unfortunately this does not work this time.
Hi Lee,
There is a Bug identifying this issue.
You can access it in the below link.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-67413
The workaround would be to recreate the group and remove it from the project, then you should be able to delete it.
