How should I support multiple users with API tokens?

I've got an app that will streamline bug filing from our test automation into one of many Jira projects under a single base url. I've got a working prototype using an API Token which I created from my Jira Account. Now that I've got it working, I want to figure out how it will work for many users across many projects.

Should I have each user generate and provide their own API Token? One concern here is that I'll need to securely store the tokens.

Should I use a single API Token? If so, is it possible to create a generic user/token so issues get filed under something like "Automated Account"?

Any other recommendations?
