How to block user create issue from JIRA and only use Confluence

Ellen Chen September 28, 2014

Hello,

We develop a confluence page to create JIRA issue, so we would like to block user to create issues directly from JIRA, only allow them to use confluence page, is there any way to do it? Thanks! We are using JIRA5.2.6+ Confluence5.3.4

No, Confluence has to respect the permissions in JIRA - if a user cannot create an issue, then they can't, that's the end of the story.

You could set up Confluence to log issues as a different, dummy, user and remove the real user's JIRA access, but that's still a bit of a kludge.
