Hello all. Actually this question has been asked before, but the thread I found was from 2013 and doesnt have information relevant to the version of JIRA I am now running.
I made some changes in my workflow lately, when I made some statuses available to transition to wherever one is in the workflow. These are actually 2 very rarely used statuses (Wont Fix and Backlog). Now they are the main statuses that appear in the ribbon at the top of the bug, meaning the layout is no longer very intuitive, and team members have to go digging just to find the standard next step in the workflow to move the issue on.
Is there a way where I can rearrange this or select which issues are usually visible?
Hello,
Open the workflow for your bug issue type and delete unnecessary statuses.
Thanks for your answer. However, the statuses are not unnecessary, they are just not as commonly used in the workflow. Most users only need "in progress" and "finished" but sometimes will need others. My issue is that the most common statuses, the normally following steps in the workflow, are now no longer the standard visible statuses. I still need "wont fix" / "blocked" etc. to at least be available, or else i might as well just have the default workflow XD
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
If you want to show these statuses only for certain users, then you can add the User is In Project Role our User is in Group conditions.

No I dont want to hide these statuses, everyone should be able to access them XD
Perhaps we are looking at different UI? Currently, I can only see only two options at the top of an issue for moving something on to the next status. Ideally, it should show the next regular step in the workflow for completion (ie - in progress -- fixed). However, the user currently has to use a dropdown menu, which is labelled "Workflow", which is not very intuitive, to find the next standard steps in the workflow, instead of the ones for edge cases, like when they want to reject an issue or send it to the backlog.

Ok. You can also add the opsbar-sequence property to all transitions to order these transitions on the screen. You can find more info here:
