Hi there
How can I display known bugs of a version in the release notes?
There is only displayed the solutions.
Can I link a custom field of an issue to that? Or any idea?
I have a field called, bug reported in version:" XXX."
Any idea somebody?
Maybe I am doing that the wrong way, but Iam totally new to that.
many thanks,
MiMue
Dear Danny Harris,
many thanks for your quick help.
We will try !
Many thanks for the link to the plug in as well :-)
best regards,
Michael.
Hi @Michael_Müller,
Release Notes are built using the Fix Version.
Any bugs found will be tagged with an Affects Version, you will have to manually add an Issue Filter to your release notes every time you want to send a release note.
For HTML release notes it could look like something like this:
<h2> Known Bugs
</h2>
<ul>
<li>[<a href='https://project.atlassian.net/browse/PROJECT-695?jql=project%20%3D%20ProjectName%20and%20affectedVersion%20%3D%201.1.1.1%20and%20type%20%3D%20Defect'></a>]
</li>
</ul>
Your recipients, that have access to your JIRA instance, will be able to navigate to the filter to view open bugs that affect that version.
There is plugin that allows you to build templates and automate the distribution of release notes.
Hope this helps
