How to display user names depending on context

My setup: Jira Server 7.12.
Jira fetches Full name from Active Directory. Users full names are non English.
Jira displays any user name as Full Name (Reporter, Assignee, in comments, etc.)

What I need is to create project that is used by partner company from foreign country.

Issue: foreign partner will see Jira fields with users in unknown language and for them user names would be indistinguishable.

What I can do is to add extra field with transliterated name for each user of my company in Active Directory.

Is it possible to setup jira to fetch and display that transliterated name depending on context:
* tick in user preference 'Show transliterated user names'
* or just show user names depending on preferred language.

note: What I can't do is to change all company user's full name to English. Company's Jira is used in multiple groups and users, and they would be happy to learn new user name spelt in English.
