Hello.
We are looking for a way to either hide options (single checkboxes) of a checkbox field (a group of checkboxes) or to set them read-only, dependent on other selections on the screen.
We thought this might be possible by Adaptavist's ScriptRunner Behaviours.
Unfortunately we couldn't find a way so far, even by the help of Google and this forum here.
So, even if all posts we have found so far say there's no way to do so, maybe something has changed in the meantime and ScriptRunner is able to help here.
Does anyone know?
If not.
Maybe somebody can make a good suggestion to our problem as described below.
In general we would like to have a field with several rows (topics), each row with 2 (maybe dependent) checkboxes, indicating different states, like follows:
Topic Affected Done
T1 X X
T2 0 0
So, that it's clearly visible, if a topic is affected, when it's done.
As far as we found out, checkbox fields are always only one box per row.
If two checkboxes are required, we can make use of 2 checkbox custom fields, but they appear below each others, instead of side-by-side.
Obviously there's no way to modify the layout.
For sure, we could also think about creating "child issues" for each of the topics to be available in the checkbox's, and track their status as usual in Jira. But this also would require lots of work to make it happen (semi)automatic.
Any suggestion/hint is highly appreciated.
Thank you
Klaus
