How to limit editing to in certain steps of an issue.

Hi. I have looked here, but not finding what I need.

Is it possible not allow users to edit issues in a certain status, except for commenting?

if I use property key:  jira.issue.editable = false then users are not able to comment on the issue. That is a no go.

Another thing we have used in other issues, is only allowing a certain group or role to edit issues in a particular project - that is also a no go. We need to be able to edit the issues in before it reaches a certain step.

Anyonw know if this is possible?

If setting jira.issue.editable=false wont work i think that's the best you got unfortunately.
