How to migrate users from Crowd Directory to JIRA Internal Directory

Hi,

We use a Crowd directory for our Atlassian products.

There is Service Desk for our customers to report issues, but unfortunately the default for new users was initially set to Crowd Directory such that a bunch of customer users are taking up Crowd seats rather than using the free customer seats in internal Jira directory.

How can I migrate the customer users from Crowd to the Internal JIRA Directory without the need to create new accounts on an individual basis and free up the Crowd seats?

Thanks

Al

Hi Al,

There is an open Suggestion for this feature that you can find at migrate user directory from Crowd to JIRA internal directory.  Please vote on the issue to add impact.

One option would be to export the users in CSV format using the instructions in How Do I Generate a CSV Export of Users, and Memberships From a Specific Directory in Crowd? and then use a tool such as Bob Swifts CLI for JIRA to import the users into JIRA.

Hopefully that helps.

Cheers,

Branden
