How to organise access for bookkeapers to worklog without access to issues information

Alexander Raymukanov April 20, 2020

Good day community,

our team log work on issues in Jira Software Server (with WorklogPRO) and I have task from executives to organise access to worklog for bookkeapers without access to issues information.

So they need to see for each project actual summary with logged time grouped by assignee.

Something like this:

Project - N

Assignee 1 - N hours

Assignee 2 - M hours

and so on.

Give full browse projects permission is not a variant. There is too much confidential information in issues.

Do you have ideas how to organise this?  With separate or group of apps.

WorklogPRO requires permission to view issues to able to view worklogs of issues. Without permission to view issue, users will not able to access worklogs of issues. You may export worklogs to excel and generate the report for them if it is required from time to time.

Thanks.

Do you see some automation variants?

Can it be possible to create some script (like with scriptrunner) to read logs from WorklogPRO in JIra as admin and load them in confluence?

You can write scripts with ScriptRunner and read worklogs from WorklogPRO. You can find some samples and javadoc here. There is also REST API
