How to update assign field per project

I wanted to find out how to update the dropdown list of assignees per project.

Hi Aaz,

you control that with the permission scheme of your project.

Look here: 

http://<your-jira-url>/plugins/servlet/project-config/<projectkey>/permissions

In that scheme, you have a permission called "Assignable User" - this is the one, you have to change.

@Thomas Schlegel I can do that, but in general, is there no way to delete a question once asked?

Champions can move them to a "removed" area which hides them.

Generally, we prefer questions to remain, so they can help people with similar problems.
