How to use DefaultClusterManager

I found https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/7.2.1/com/atlassian/jira/cluster/DefaultClusterManager.html on the Internet which seems to be able to provide all nodes and the node which is running the code. However, I am not sure how to use it. Can anyone give me some examples?
