How to validate date from Jira Service Desk Portal in a Request Type form

Hi, is there a way to validate a date field which is presented in the Customer Portal in JSD? For example - I have a 'planned start date' field which is present in the request type form, and I want to make sure this field is minimum 5 days ahead from the current moment.

Hello @Dimitar I_ Dimitrov

Are you using jira sd cloud?

Because in server service desk you can do it with plugins like Scriptrunner with validators or behaviours.

Hello Dimitar,

Unfortunately, validators are not being applied on JIRA Service Desk Portal when performing transitions, as you can see in the reported bug:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4007

T
here is also a feature request opened for your specific requirement:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4744

The best we can recommend for now is to add a comment in the field help informing that the request will only be accepted if the "planned start date" is minimum 5 days ahead from the create date.

For internal created Service Desk issues, you can use the Date Window Validator
