Importing xml backup from HSQLDB into new SQL Server 2008 DB - Import stuck at 90%?

Joanne March 12, 2015

I am running the import but it looks like it is stuck at 90% for the last 30 minutes.  It was a small xml file to begin with activeobjects.xml being 128KB and entities 2075kb - has this crashed or how can i check - is there any log file?

Hi Joanne,

It looks like this log is showing a bad shutdown. Unfortunately it's tough to say what happened before this event. Can you post in your full atlassian-jira.log for us?

I verified it and it seems to have imported with no problems as everything working as it was. Thanks.

However, there are issues missing from backlogs and boards - so there must have been an issue with the install - here are the details from the logs - any ideas - do I need to re-import - also it is giving a message on indexing 2015-03-12 05:47:52,161 JiraImportTaskExecutionThread-1 INFO anonymous 347x93x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupImport.jspa [atlassian.plugin.manager.DefaultPluginManager] Shutting down the plugin system 2015-03-12 05:47:52,505 Timer-3 INFO anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [greenhopper.service.logging.LogSupport] ********************************************************************************* Atlassian GreenHopper v6.3.13.1 #a73d75f118867c66 built 2014-05-07T21:52:18.123-06:00 - plugin stopping... ********************************************************************************* 2015-03-12 05:47:52,520 Timer-3 WARN anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [atlassian.greenhopper.service.BridgeServiceLocator] The GreenHopper BridgeServiceLocator has been unwired and is no longer usable 2015-03-12 05:47:52,520 Timer-3 INFO anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [greenhopper.service.logging.LogSupport] ********************************************************************************* Atlassian GreenHopper v6.3.13.1 #a73d75f118867c66 built 2014-05-07T21:52:18.123-06:00 - plugin stopped ********************************************************************************* 2015-03-12 05:47:54,735 Timer-3 INFO anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [plugins.dvcs.listener.DvcsAddUserListener] Attempting to unregister listener ... 2015-03-12 05:47:54,735 Timer-3 INFO anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [plugins.dvcs.listener.DvcsAddUserListener] Listener unregistered ... 2015-03-12 05:47:54,751 Timer-3 INFO anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [plugins.dvcs.scheduler.DvcsScheduler] DvcsScheduler job handler unregistered 2015-03-12 05:47:56,264 Timer-3 INFO anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [jira.plugins.monitor.MonitoringScheduler] Unscheduling metrics collector... 2015-03-12 05:47:56,264 Timer-3 INFO anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [jira.plugins.monitor.MonitorLauncher] Stopped JIRA monitoring 2015-03-12 05:47:56,436 Timer-3 ERROR anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [atlassian.event.internal.AsynchronousAbleEventDispatcher] There was an exception thrown trying to dispatch event '[com.atlassian.plugin.event.events.PluginModuleUnavailableEvent@7b87c01c, SingleParameterMethodListenerInvoker{method=public void com.atlassian.plugin.manager.DefaultPluginManager.onPluginModuleUnavailable(com.atlassian.plugin.event.events.PluginModuleUnavailableEvent), listener=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.JiraPluginManager@35787ffa}]' from the invoker 'java.lang.RuntimeException: service proxy has been destroyed' 2015-03-12 05:47:58,479 FelixStartLevel ERROR anonymous 278x16x1 7xttoo 10.92.96.167 /secure/SetupDatabase.jspa [atlassian.plugin.module.PrefixDelegatingModuleFactory] Detected an error instantiating the module via Spring. Ok found a log file and there was nothing happening so looks like it hung so stopped it - then stopped jira server but now the service won't start again!
