In the road map in jira, is it possible to force a new line in the description?

I would like to add a little more organisation to the version descriptions which are displayed nn the road map in jira. I've noticed the text rolls over to a new line, is it possible to force this i.e. would be good to be able to display:

Main Goal: Description

Sub Goal 1: Description

Sub Goal 2: Description

I've tried putting some html in there or some unicode but it doesnt get converted - is a there a wiki markup option or something I'm missing?

You could edit the velocity template for this, eg:

<classes>\templates\plugins\jira\projectpanels\roadmap-panel.vm

However this would then apply to all versions across all projects.

You would remove the $textutils.htmlEncode(...) surrounding $version.description.

I'm not sure I'd bother though, in 4.4 entering a description is a single line text field, you can't enter a newline and it's not obvious to enter html.
