Is it possible to change the date format when exporting to excel?

When exporting date fields from Jira they come over as a alpha numeric date "Jan/06/14"

Is it possible to have it export as only a numerical value such as 01-06-14 or possibly 01/06/2014?

Also reported here, you can use the date format change workaround from Admin panel.

I already had the date format set as "MM/dd/yy" in advanced settings, I totally missed the date and time setting in Look and Feel.
