Is it possible to delete a user account and then recreate with the same email address?

Is it possible to delete a user account and then add a new user with the email address of the deleted user?  

I'm having trouble with a service account and want to delete it and recreate with the same email address.  Is this possible or will it throw me an error?

There would be no issues with deleting and then recreating a user with the same or a different username.

You'll run into trouble if the service account has information associated with it such as being a reporter, an assignee, component lead, comment author etc. If that is the case, you'll be unable to delete the user until you disassociate all of those items from the user.

Thank you.  I was able to remove and re-add.
