Is it possible to perform "online" coverage tests for Jira Plugins?

Hi there,

I would like to know whether it is possible to perform coverage tests for Jira Plugins while navigating on Jira (without writing java tests). I have heard that Jacoco is able to support this kind of tests but I dont know how to apply it on Jira for a Jira plugin.
