My request is to be able to restrict subtask1 and subtask2 be visible for mainissuetype1. and subtask3 and subtask4 only in mainissuetype2. Is this possible.
It is not possible OOTB for one project. You will need to create two projects.. one with subtask1 and subtask2 and mainissuetype1 and another for subtask3 and subtask4 and mainissuetype2. In this configuration it will work as you want.
