I am using "wiki-textfield" class to make a textarea wiki enabled. But, it doesn't have the Text/Visual tabs provided by Rich text editor LABS.

Is there any way I can add those than manually creating tabs ?

Multiline text fields should have this ability, but by default the field configuration scheme is using a different renderer here.  Take a look over at Warren's answer on https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Core-questions/How-to-make-text-field-multi-line-custom-field-support-text/qaq-p/182022

He explains how you can go into the field configuration in use for the project using that field and change the renderer to be the wiki-style instead of default renderer.   Once you do this, it should change the way that field is displayed when editing the issue.

I am getting the wiki renderer in the multiline but it doesn't have the Text/Visual tab in it. How can we provide that ?

This is what I have.

Interesting, in my 7.12.3 version, I can see those options for my custom field.

What version of Jira are you using here?   It is possible that older versions of Jira will have an older version of the wiki-editor system plugin that comes bundled with Jira.  I am curious if perhaps older versions of this plugin might behave differently here.
