Issue from one instance apearing in Jira project on another instance

Hi

We have couple of Jira instances and my team is working on project with issues from multiple Jira instances.

Right now, we are creating a story on our side and updating manually on the other or get assigned to issues on other instance. This make progress tracking a bit challenging, constantly switching from one instance to another.

Instead of having mirrored issues, it would be easier to get visibility on remote issues in our backlog on our own instance.

Is it possible to get issues from another jira instance to our backlog?

I know it is possible to link the issues, but we are the ones who need to update the issues on another instance anyway, so it is kind of the same thing. I also do not want to sync the whole thing, just to have access to certain issues and move them across our sprint board.

Not out of the box. I would look for a plugin, but I wouldn;'t be hopeful
