JEMH keeps getting: "Retrieval using the IMAP4 protocol failed for the following message: XXXXX"

Søren Hansen September 5, 2023

JEMH keeps getting: "Retrieval using the IMAP4 protocol failed for the following message: XXXXX"

But the inbox it is from is empty. The message in the report is

"

The email was filtered!

  • No From address found in message

"

Otherwise it works fine. JEMH takes emails from the other inboxes it is set up for and does it as it should. But right on this inbox it has done this a few times. It happens approximately every two minutes.

For the kind souls who would like to help, just ask if there is any further information you need.

Hi Søren,

It sounds like your incoming email being processed by JEMH from that folder is malformed and missing a From header. There is pre-processing feature in JEMH which might help however for a more in depth answer we'd need more information.  If you flag this with the JEMH support team they'd be happy to help. Please see the support channels here: Getting support

Thanks,
Phil
