JIRA Import Issues CSV

Sam Talkers July 11, 2018

I have figured out how to import via a csv and map the fields, but it seems to be time consuming.

  1. Can the system automatically match the header names so I don't have to remap every time?
  2. Can I export issues in a clean format and just change the field values and then reimport into JIRA? Otherwise, I have to create all of my import templates from scratch.

Sam,

JIRA cannot automatically match the column headers when using the CSV importer. It is frustrating and time consuming to match.

If you are using the same file structure for multiple imports, you can save the configuration file after an import. You can upload this file at the beginning of an import to help speed up the process.

Thanks,

Kian
