When screenshots are included in the JIRA issue description, by default they are full size images.
When multiple screenshots are included, it is an annoyance to scroll down through the entire thing and view each screenshot. However, if screenshots are included as thumbnails, then it becomes much easier to scroll up and down the JIRA description and user can view the full image by clicking on a particular thumbnail.
We are aware, that it is possible to make an image as thumbnail by using the "markup" language provided by JIRA. e.g. by using "! picturename.extension|thumbnail!" — however, users dont always remember that.
We want to force JIRA to display all images in issue description to always display as thumbnails. I did not find any option in the admin screen for that. Online research also did not reveal anything specific, by which we can default the images to thumbnail. Atlassian support was also unable to help - except mention that this may be possible by doing specific customizations of JIRA.
How do we achieve this ? Please help !
