JIRA on Micrososft Server 2019

Can someone inform if Micrososft Server 2019 will be supported for JIRA and added to the Supported Platform page.

Hi @Sverrir Tynes [Origo],

in my experience, even though the official list doesn't include certain databases or operating systems, Jira does work with them.

My guess is that Atlassian just hasn't tested Jira with those officially so they can't say they support it.

I'd give it a go with a test instance and if it's stable, then you could try it with production.

Sometimes one just has to do their own tests. :)

Thanks but I know about this page and I wonder why Server 2019 has not been added as it was released 4 months ago. My question can be rephrased to:

Is there a plan to support Microsoft Server 2019 for JIRA

Hi @Sverrir Tynes [Origo],

Generally they don't mention the OS release versions. 

As mentioned below, it should support. You can try on staging

  • Jira is a pure Java-based application and should run on any supported operating system, provided that the JDK / JRE requirements are satisfied.
