Hello,
Jira runs on two FQDNs, an external external.abc.de and an internal intern.abc.de. Access to Jira is realized with a proxy solution. The BaseURL is the internal FQDN.
I have two Tomcat ports configured with port 8080 and 8081. ProxyName, ProxyPort, and Schema pointed to the FQDNs using SSL.
SSL handshakes worked fine We have a problem with the external URL: The gadget headlines are displayed as __MSG_gadget.
Any hints?
regards
Falk
The root of this problem is that Jira is not able to reach itself over the networks.

There are many ways to cause that to happen, but for you, it's simple, you have not set it up correctly.
Jira does not run on many urls. It needs one single base url that it can talk to itself on as well as serve the users.
Pick one of your FQDNs as the base url, set it and throw away the other one because it's not going to work
