Jira Versions & Licenses showing incorrect details

Paul Fechner February 20, 2019

My Jira installation is showing version 7.10.2 in the "Versions & Licenses" screen.  This is incorrect as it should be 7.13.1 (as is displayed on the page footer).

No, this is correct.

Jira Core is the "platform", and it is what the footer is reporting on.  You have Jira (Core) 7.13.1

The second line in the list of "Applications", the one in blue, says Jira Core 7.13.1, matching the footer, because that's what you have.

Jira Software is another Application that has to be installed on Core.  In your system, that is on 7.10.2, which is not usable when installed on top of Core 7.13, so you need to update it to a version that works with Core 7.13 (Your licence will cover the update, it's just "get the new version").  There should be an upgrade button on this screen, off to the right.

Ok, that makes sense.  I did not pick up on it as after the upgrade it showed me the upgrade report indicating it had successfully upgraded to 7.13.1.

7.10.2 Software does appear to be working on 7.10.2 Core however will be expediting the remaining upgrade steps now.
