thank you.
I was able to successfully upgrade the Jira to 7.10 just few issues..1) Increase intial memory pool 2) change the connection string on db.config 3) change the collation on database.
I am having issues with email processing ,right now the notification turned on to send emails upon comment and I don't receive any emails after upgrade. Following is my setup:(see screenshot) I am able to successfully run the Test Connection. I found this in the logs
2018-06-20 15:38:00,193 WARN [GDMIssuesMail] Caesium-1-3 anonymous GDMIssues GDMIssues[10100]: javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: AUTHENTICATE failed. while connecting to host 'imap.gmo.tld' as user 'xyz' via protocol 'imap
can you please advise.

Tummala,
It looks like your authentication failed when you were testing your mail server.
Although the data you have entered appears as it might be some test information (Is the user called 'xyz'?), it's best to check with your email server administrator on that to see why it might have failed.

Hi there,
Yes, you can upgrade versions as long as you don't skip any major versions (such as 5.* to 7.*).
Are you having an issue with upgrading?
