Hello all,
What are your experiences connecting and running Jira with different instances?
1st instance - First Level Team
2nd instance - second level team
Requirement
* Instance - Jira Core (on-premise)
* Instance - Jira Service Management (on-premise)
* Each project should represent a customer
Open questions
- How to handle ticket handling?
- Ticket updates to the customer, different ticket ID etc.
- How to handle communication with customer?
- Existing Confluence in Jira Core?
- Do adjustments have to be made in both instances?
Many thanks for your feedback.
Hi @DG
Is there any concern or specific requirement to have separate Jira instances?
You can have one instance of Jira with both Jira Software and Jira Service Management, both can have various projects. That is how most organisations use Jira, unless they have special needs to have separate instances in which case integrating them together is also possible using application links and doing further automation using REST API.
