Jira gadget/filter filter result on GroupBy clause

Hi,

I have a list of issues, each having multiple components attach to them. I am creating a filter where I just want to see few of the components and not all of them.

If Issue1 has Comp1 and Comp2, then in the fitler report I just want to see Comp1, as of now I am using Two Dimensional gadget which list Comp1 and Comp2 and show Issue 1 in both of them.

Can someone advice what would be best way to achieve that.

Hello Anurag,

This is not possible in jira, the Jira issue search JQL functionality is designed to, and only allows listing individual issues per the restrictions applied from filter.

We had a feature request to add this in viewable at the link below, but it was closed out as a won't fix as it would require a full redesign to the functionality of the JQL framework:

There are however workarounds noted in the comment section of how to export and manipulate the data in external application (EXE using an Excel pivot table), or use direct database queries to pull the results as needed.
