Jira how to make Work Description required

Does anyone know how I can make "work Description" as required when logging the hours in Jira.

Hi

I think it is not possible, see this issue https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-8751

However you can implement custom javascript code that check description field every time when work log screen is submitted.

You do not need scriptrunner for this
