Hi.
Is it normal for Jira consume this amount of memory?
It is using 679MB because I rebooted the server. It was using about 900MB of RAM.
And I think the 3rd process (JAVA Platform SE binary) is being used by Jira too.
Is this normal? Can it be tweaked?
I'm running Jira 6.1 on a virtualized web server with Windows Server 2012. But, my company is small and we don't have a big Jira DB or and intensive usage of the platform.
Hey Carlos,
Check the Minimun Memory set for your JIRA (see here), maybe you set it for 512mb or something like that. Also, the memory usage will depend on the size of your application, how many issues, projects and users you have on it.
Hope that helps. If that's not the case, check the log file and see if is there anything related there.
Cheers,
Andre
Thanks. Reduced the value to 512MB as you said.
My application is very smal. We have at most 6 users, and 20 projects total. That's why the memory it was using was to much for the size of the application.
