Jira mobile login prompt on safari under iOS (iPhone)

When accessing jira 7.9.2 from the iphone browser (no jira app) the system displays a password prompt from the browser over the login screen.

Entering credentials into this field does not log you in.

you have to cancel the prompt and use the login form in the background.

How can we get rid of this prompt?

Hi Jens,

This appears to be a bug that is being tracked over in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-66697

I would recommend watching and voting on this issue to start.  That bug ticket does have a work-around listed that might help here:

Workaround

  1. Set Safari configuration for "Block Cookies" to "Always Allow".

It is also noted that this problem does not appear to affect other browsers at the moment, just the safari IOS version.
