Jira over https

Tobias Hofer January 31, 2012

I tried to configure Jira to work over https with help of this article:

http://www.ricksoft.jp/document/display/JIRA/Running+JIRA+over+SSL+or+HTTPS

I did everything but I get an error starting the site:

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

I tried self signed certificate as well as our company wildcard certificate..

any ideas?

Well, it's not really a Jira question, but, I have this bookmarked from last time I trashed one of my Apache servers - see https://support.servertastic.com/entries/323560-error-code-ssl-error-rx-record-too-long
