Licences control with AD group

Hi everyone.
Our Confluence is configured with our Corporate AD. ( mora than 1000 users )
This brings me the problem that anyone in the AD can enter Confluence and our license limited to 100.
It is possible to restrict access for only those people who are in an AD Group that is in the Corporate AD.
If licenses are exceeded, Confluence cannot provide service

Thanks

You can limit licensing to a specific AD group.

You will want to set the user directory to us an internal group that does not provide Confluence access when adding users to Confluence or change your LDAP query to only pull users from the group you want to use.  You can learn more about setting up user directories here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/configuring-user-directories-229838212.html?_ga=2.136701042.358067494.1583164642-210123836.1570633899

If you decide to pull in all users but not give them all access you will want to create an AD group that you will sync into Confluence and add your users to it.  In Confluence under GENERAL CONFIGURATION -> USERS & SECURITY -> GLOBAL PERMISSIONS you will want to add the new AD group under the licensed users section and ensure that the local user group you apply to all users is not listed here.  Make sure that you keep an internal group and have an internal user assigned to it so you can make modifications to the AD user directory in the future.
