Looking for a script for custom listener to copy field value from parent to child

sai praveen aminigadda December 6, 2019

We have a hierarchy Epic > Feature > Story. I'm trying to create a custom listener that can help us to copy a custom field value "Synchronization enabled" from Epic to story. I have tried multiple scripts available from the community but none of them worked for me. Any help would be appreciated.

There is almost no possibility, that you can use a ready-made script.

When the custom field shold be copied? Each time parent is edited, or each time child is edited?

Or maybe only upon creation of a child?

@Damian Wodzinski Thanks for responding. It should be done on both events when the parent is edited and the child is created. We have already enabled this feature from "Feature to story level" by using a post-function. somehow it is not working from Epic to Portfolio. So we decided to have a listener to do it.
