I configured a JIRA mail handler for incoming mail (Secure IMAP). It works fine for emails from people around the company, and properly associates the reporter with the person that sent it.
The issue I'm running into is when the FROM is a Group Mailbox or Distribution list (MS Exchange/O365). The particular use-case is when a SQL Database detects an error condition it will send an email to the JIRA Incoming Mail box from a Distribution List (different addresses) - which should then create an Issue on our board.
I've tested by sending emails to the JIRA Incoming Mail address from my email address, a group mail box and a distribution list. Emails from people are created without issue. The Group Mailbox and Distribution List emails just sit in the JIRA-monitored inbox as unread.
