Dear friends,
I want to buy some Atlassian (Service Desk and Jira Software).
In service desk product, I have read about an one-time payment $16,500 for 50 agents.
Are there addicionals maintenance cost?.
What about new software releases?. We have to pay extra costs for it?
Thanks in advanced.
Hey Javier,
Licenses for our server products entitle you to any upgrades released while your maintenance period is valid. For example, if your support maintenance ends on December 31 and we release a new version of Jira on December 30, you can still download and install that particular version of Jira even after December 31. New versions released after your support expires would require you to renew your support before you could upgrade to them.
On the Quote page, you can play around with the maintenance dates to see what your cost would be for extending support. As a rule of thumb, an additional year of maintenance will be 50% of the cost of what you originally paid for the software. The quote tool will help you figure out the exact cost for your situation, and you can try out different user sizing without having to buy or wait for someone to email you a quote.
Keeping your support current also ensures that you can open support tickets at support.atlassian.com. I'd recommend taking a look at our Purchasing and Licensing FAQ where we answer lots of questions about the benefits of renewing your support maintenance and the impacts of expired maintenance.
Cheers,
Daniel | Atlassian Support
