Map an issue assignee to a team member corner cases

Hi

Thanks to the documentation I have understand the logic of how to map an issue assignee to a team member. But I'm not clear on 2 things :

1. what will happen it the sync replace an existing team members already defined manually in the Portfolio ?

2. Since for a team members to be committed in Jira as an assignee, it requires to be a single one. How to detect the Portfolio issues that have more than one team members and thus that have not been committed to Jira ?
