Merging fields when searching

I'd like to know if there is any way of removing fields from search window and adding new ones?

I have this situation:

-my issue has fields "NameA" and "NameB"

- when searching, instead of filling both fields with the same value I would like to have a field "Name" in which I would write that value and as result i should get issues with "NameA" and "NameB" matching the value in the field "Name"

- is this possible without programming? (maybe with plugin?)

Hi there,

I'm afrais that is not possible, not even with a plugin. JIRA will always list the fields that are searchable on the issue navigator, and it is not possible to add a field that would search for other fields.
