We have licensed and installed Mobility for JIRA enterprise but cannot get it to work. I have tried to contact support but no returns.
Here is my request to support. Any help would be greatly appreciated:
We have the plugin installed on our JIRA server, restarted JIRA services and Mobility shows up under Add-ons. However I cannot get it to connect via SSL. The JIRA site works normally from the outside via SSL, just not the app.
I can enter my user/pass and our URL https://jira.gvec.org . But when you click the login button is simply stays spinning on “Logging in”.
I can however connect to http://jira.gvec.org:8080 from my internal network, the app will log in. Then I can change the URL back to https://jira.gvec.org and I am still able to log in. Even after closing the app and reopening I can now log in by https. And it will work for an amount of time even from outside our network. So it is like the device needs to register, then it will allow the connection.
I plan on disabling access via 8080 around the board, so it needs to work via SSL the first time. What could I be missing? Are there other ports required to make the initial device connection?
Update on this issue.
The problem was our wildcard certificate. The developer has updated the application in the next release to allow for the wildcard. Otherwise we could have gotten a specific certificate for our URL.
