Move from bugzilla to JIRA cloud

Hi, 

Due to historical reason, we currently have two bugzilla systems. One is on 2.20 and the new one is on 4.0. We plan to move from bugzilla to JIRA and I have two questions:

1. Can I import two bugzilla databases into on JIRA system?
2. Can I keep the bugzilla number after import?

Hello Chris,

1. Yes, that's completely possible, you can migrate from unlimited number of external systems, but there could be a problem if you would like to import two different system to the same JIRA project. As long as you keep importing external projects to different JIRA projects everything should be fine.
2. Unfortunately it's limited currently. By default importer will take all issues from Bugzilla and will create them from issue key '1' and simply increment number, so if you have any gaps in the external project, the issue numbers won't match.
   1. The importer will create a custom field called 'External Issue ID', which will store original bugzilla issue number - you can use this custom field to search issues in JIRA
   2. If you really need to preserve Bugzilla Issue Key, then it's possible to do with CSV Importer, but this importer has a limited functionality when it comes to import from Bugzilla and it would require some data preparations on your side.

Also it's worth to mention that Bugzilla importer is currently only available for JIRA Server, because it needs to connect to you Bugzilla database. You can workaround this by installing a local JIRA Server instance (even on evaluation license), do import locally and then migrate JIRA Server to JIRA Cloud.
