Need to change customer field type.

Hi Team,

We have a custom field "Reporting Type" with multiple select. Now we have a request that field type with multiple select to be changed to "Single list" and also I need data to be migrated from old custom field value to new custom field value with out any loss.

Can someone guide me how to achieve this?

Thanks for your prompt response.

But here my question is if I select source field and target Field both are same in my case. Here I want to change the custom filed type of same field not different field.

Target Field and source field cannot be same right.

Correct me If I am wrong.

Hi kanaka,

The idea is that you create a new field, Select list (single choise), copy all the values into it, add to the desired screens, and delete the target field. Enter the required name for the new field.
